Naomi Denise Mayhue-Young was born on May 1, 2015, in Omaha, Nebraska, to her delighted parents Leah Mayhue-Dale and DeAndre Young. Naomi was a bubbly and precocious four-year-old.While attending her 2nd year of preschool at Howard Kennedy Elementary School, she was awarded “Student of the Month” for exhibiting exceptional leadership in the classroom this past October. Naomi attended ballet and tap dance classes at Grace Unchained Dance Studio. Also, she participated in her mother’s fitness business, Rhythm & Sweat Dance Fitness. Her joyful spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Naomi had a fond love for anything purple:unicorns, Disney princesses, Barbie and Spider-Man (although he isn’t purple). She did a little “happy dance” whenever she had pizza and French fries. It is not a surprise, that she loved music, just like her parents. Some of her favorite songs are Sunflower by Post Malone (from the Spider-Man movie), Old Town Road by Lil Nas X, and the gospel hit by Anthony Brown, Blessings on Blessings. At such a young age, she had an appetite for books which fed her imagination.Her favorite books were Just Go to Bed, All by Myself, and Splat the Cat, just to name a few.Naomi’s best friends include her dear, sweet Dilly Bear and anyone that came into contact with her. Naomi Denise Mayhue-Young is preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Edward Sr. & Betty Mayhue. She leaves to cherish her memories: parents Leah Mayhue-Dale and DeAndre Young; grandparents Edward & Johosenia Butler, Daryl Agee, Alex Young, and Gaynelle Calloway; great-grandparents Yvonne Calloway, General and Rebecca Young; uncles Aaron Mayhue (Sydia), Keenan Boetel and Chevas Anderson and a host of great aunts & uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
