DENNIS, Nancy C. 12/30/1958 – 3/13/2022 Nancy Colean Dennis was born to Carol and Rufus Dennis on December 30,1958.From her early years as a child, she was always very active. She ran track and was a member of the cheerleading squad. Prior to graduating, she gave birth to her only daughter Paulette December 8th, 1976. Determined to finish school she would go on to receive her diploma from Omaha Tech High 1977. She would then go on to attend Metropolitan Community College and obtain her phlebotomy certification going on to work in healthcare at Methodist hospital for several years. Despite her education Nancy’s greatest accomplishment was being a mother and later a grandmother. Nancy was a strong woman of faith surrendering her life to in 2000 being baptized by Rev. John Whittington of Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church. Nancy is preceded in death by her father Rufus, mother Carol and sisters Cathleen, Deborah (Pig) and niece Deborah Ann. She leaves to cherish her memory of devoted partner of 25 years Lacey Smith, Daughter Paulette Dennis, grandson Derrick Dennis, sisters Deanna Dennis, Denise Dennis brothers Tommy, Clarence, and Charles Dennis (Alabama), friend Emma Munger, and along with a host of friends, nieces, and nephews.
