On Sunday November 15, 2020, Nancy Ann Cardisco-Preister, loving wife and mother of two passed away at the age of 68. Nancy was born on October 13, 1952 in Omaha, Nebraska to Edward and Rose Stillmock. She received her Bachelor of Art degree from the University of Omaha in 1973, and worked as an art teacher for nearly 40 years.Even during her ‘retirement’ from teaching she still worked part-time as a substitute teach in the Bellevue area. Nancy had a passion for her family, travel, and teaching art (mostly the high school level) for almost 4 decades.She loved to talk to her children and adored playing with her grandchildren.Being a loving and generous person was core to her, donating to the MS Society and buying her own art supplies to supplement her students.Nancy enjoyed playing with her mini dachshund dog (Cooper), getting mani/pedis and always looking her best.Her hobbies included making jewelry, paintings, clay sculptures, stained-glass pieces and tending to her many plants.She always made great meals and delivered every single Thanksgiving and Christmas with a delectable culinary cuisine.Nancy and her husband Dan Preister would travel to all parts of the United States and even abroad.She was a loving person that you wanted to be around, and you know she cared for you. Nancy was taken by COVID and preceded in death by her father Edward, mother, Rose, brother, Edward and first husband Mike. She is survived by her husband Dan Preister, her sons ZachCardisco (Mikaella), Justin Cardisco (Courtney), step-daughter Sara Waszgis (Andy), step-son Dan Preister (Melissa) and 7 grandchildren Clara, AJ, Evan, Maximus, Ean, Leona, Eathan. Funeral information: Visitation: Friday 11/20 at 12-1pm and Service at 1pm at Braman Mortuary (1702 N 72nd St, Omaha, NE 68114) Masks are required at the service.
