KERKMANN, Mildred A. age 94 of Omaha, passed away quietly at Lindenwood Nursing Facility Thursday October 21, 2010 Mildred was born to Amos and Anna Miller on July 12, 1916. Proceeded in death by her parents, 1 daughter, Barbara Steskal, and very special friend Dwight Hatcher. She is survived by 4 children, Deanna Beresh of Omaha, Linda Balakier of Fountain Hills, Arizona, Bill Kerkmann of Omaha, and Mike (Cathi) Kerkmann of Canton, Ohio. Mildred loved her children, and her numerous grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. She was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker fan, and always said she might be one of there oldest cheerleaders. At Mildred’s request there will be no calling hours. Cremation was conducted immediately following her passing. Her inurnment will be in Canton, Ohio with her son Mike (Cathi). A private memorial will be held at a later date. For those she left behind who loved her she will forever be remembered with love and sad hearts.
