Michael Lewis Pinkard was born on August 25, 1955 in Waxahachie, Texas.He was the 3rd of 7 children born to the late Oliver Pinkard, and Helen Pinkard.At the age of 7, his family relocated to Omaha, Nebraska where he attended Omaha Public Schools.After High School he entered the United States Army. Michael was a talented artist.He spent time designing drawings and paintings for family members and friends. Michael was happily married to Glenda Penry for 27 years.She was the love of his life. He was a fun loving guy who enjoyed singing with his family, The Pinkard Singers.He especially loved quality time with his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.Michael was a prolific chest player and loved fishing.He always looked forward to the Christmas holiday season as a time to gather with family, from far and near. Michael’s employment included Paxton Mitchell, Kiewit Construction, and Iowa Beef Packing. In 2015, During his failing health, Michael was baptized and added to the Fort Street Church of Christ. Michael leaves to cherish fond memories his wife: Glenda Pinkard of Omaha, Nebraska; Daughters: Demetria Webster of Lincoln, Nebraska; Michelle Pinkard of Nashville, Tennessee; Tanya (David) Gaver of Blair, Nebraska; Trisha (Mark) Sorenson of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Sons: Michael (Leticia Robles) Pinkard, Jr. of McAllen,Texas; Alan Doyle of Mesa, Arizona; Mother: Helen Pinkard of Omaha, Nebraska; Sisters: Sandra (Clifton) Hodges of Omaha, Nebraska; Olivette (David) McKee of Kansas City, Missouri; Brothers: Oliver (Sandra) Pinkard, Jr. of Plainfield, New Jersey; Mitchell (Debra Lee) Pinkard of Omaha, Nebraska; Kenneth (Loretta) Pinkard of Omaha, Nebraska, Jeffery (Kristina) Pinkard of Las Vegas, Nevada; 22 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren; Nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and a host of brothers and sisters in Christ.
