Michael was proud of his service in the US Army as a special forces Green Beret and was a decorated Vietnam veteran. He worked for the city planning department and managed the lead removal program for the city of Omaha. Preceded in death by his parents, Max Wayne Honaker and Joyce (Rhodes) Honaker. Survived by wife, Elizabeth Stuht Borchers; son, Max Wayne Honaker; daughter & son-in-law, Alison Honaker Taylor & Shane Taylor and their children, Makaylin & Kaden; step-son & daughter-in-law, William Borchers & Kimberly and their child, Hailey; daughter & son-in-law, Susan Boye-Lynn & Rob and their children, John Calahan & Dashell Anderson; son & daughter-in-law, Michael Beason & Alethea Rebman; brother & sister-in-law, Gordon & Sherrye Honaker; sister, Janelle Williams; brother, Tim Honaker; sister & brother-in-law, Gaye & Mike Broshears; brother & sister-in-law, Pat & Robin Honaker; many other loving relatives.
