Hlavac, Melvin D. 4/29/1937 – 2/28/2020 Melvin Hlavac, age 82, passed away Friday, Feb 28, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.Melvin was born April 29th 1937 in Yankton, South Dakota. Melvin was passionate about his business, Mel’s Hauling, which he owned for over 35 years. He leaves behind his wife Sharon, of 61 years; children Tammy (Louis) Palmer, Thomas Hlavac, Trent (Marilyn) Hlavac; many, grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews.A graveside service will be held for Melvin 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 6, 2020 at Omaha National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to be directed to the family.
