Mary Alice DeBose was born June 5, 1943 in Marlin, TX to the late Carl and Rebecca DeBose. Mary Alice departed this life May 9, 2015. Mary graduated from Carver High School where she played in the band, her instrument of choice was the Clarinet. She sang in her high school choir, church and on the Sunday morning gospel radio show in her hometown. Mary Alice married her high school sweetheart Eddie Earl Coleman Sr. Out of the union Laurie Aneita and Eddie Earl Coleman Jr were born. Not long afterwards, she relocated to Denver, Co. During her life she worked in the field of nursing while attending Metro State College. She retired from Avaya with 22 years of service. Mary was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church for 30 plus years. Her membership transferred to House of Hope where she was involved in singing in the choir and was a part of the Women’s Auxiliary department. Mary raised her children to put God first in everything you say, do and receive. Mary lived in Denver, Co from 1964 to 2009 where she resided in Omaha, Ne until her death. Mary will be remembered for her Diva personality, style and illuminating smile. Mary was preceded in death by Son Eddie Earl Coleman, Jr; She is survived by her daughter Laurie Coleman-Johnson & husband Wesley; Sisters Tabatha & Carla DeBose; Grandchildren: Eddie Earl Coleman III, Breanna & Chanel Nave; 4 Great Grandchildren; A host of other relatives & many friends.
