Mark Anthony Bennett was born April 11, 1951 to Gene and Rosemary Bennett in Savanna, Illinois and graduated from Savanna High School in 1969. Mark moved to Des Moines, Iowa where he married Carol K. Moore on May 2, 1976. Mark and Carol became the parents of two children, Robert (Rob) Andrew and Beth Anne. They attended First Federated Church where he volunteered for AWANA. In 1988 Mark and family moved to Omaha, Nebraska where he earned his Bachelor of Science from Grace University. Mark enjoyed working in the automotive industry and managed several auto parts stores. He also drove a school bus in Millard, NE for many years and spent his free time reading, drawing and painting. On February 19, 2014 Mark entered the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Rosemary Bennett and sister, Maureen Bennett. He is survived by his father, Gene Bennett; wife, Carol; son and daughter-in-law Rob & Wendy Bennett; daughter and son-in-law Beth Bennett & Chris Tiller; Brother & sister-in-law Steve and Linda Bennett; sister & brother-in-law Julie and Rick Maples. Memorial services will be head at: United Methodist Church in Stuart, Iowa on Tuesday, February 25th at 10:30am. And First United Methodist Church in Savanna Illinois on Saturday, March 1st at 10:30am. Memorials suggested to Flagstaff Mission of the Navajos, 6 West Cherry Ave., Flagstaff, AZ 86001.
