Marilyn was born on the farm on November 11, 1933, to Myrtle Gallup Johnson and Francis Johnson. The oldest of three, when of school age, Marilyn went to Pleasant Way, a one room school house until the eighth grade. After graduating from eighth grade, she moved to town, (Oakland, NE) to continue her education. She worked clerical most of her working life, and also Village Inn. Many of the things she enjoyed were cards, bingo, 10 point pitch, bridge, volunteering at the Omaha Community Playhouse , Rose Theater, Upstairs Dinner Theater and many more. Marilyn was a traveler of many places, famous for her homemade tortillas and enchiladas.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Montoya; son, Jay Montoya; mother, Myrtle Gallup Johnson; father, Francis Johnson.
She is survived by her daughters, Lugi Montoya, Debra Molgaard; sons, David Montoya, Richard Montoya, Rex Montoya; grandchildren, great grandchildren, other family members and friends.

Visitation: Thursday, April 24 from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm at Braman Mortuary 72nd St Chapel, 1702 N 72nd St Omaha NE.
Funeral Service: Friday, April 25 at 10:30 am at Marshall Drive Baptist Church, 4845 Marshall Dr Omaha NE
Interment: Calvary Cemetery
