EUANS, Marilyn R. 8/12/1932 - 2/27/2021 Marilyn (Boseck) Euans ,88, was born on August 12,1932, and died February 27, 2021, in Ashland, Nebraska. Her parents, Edward and Ruth (Billings) Boseck, welcomed a baby girl, after having four boys, to their home on a farm outside of Griswold, Iowa. After attending country school she went on to graduate from Griswold High school in 1950. She lived in Shenandoah, Iowa, for a short time working at a hospital there, then married Hubert C. Scherdin on December 24, 1950.He went to fight in the Korean War days after their wedding and ended up dying in a prisoner of war camp shortly after. Marilyn went on to marry George T. Euans on December 31, 1953.They were soon blessed with their first born, Theresa Gail then six years later Kathy Lynn. Marilyn and George ran the Elliott Hardware in Elliott, Iowa, till George’s death in October of 1995.Marilyn still opened the hardware most days until she moved to assisted living last year. She spent her last days at Oxbow Living Center in Ashland, Nebraska. Marilyn was a long time member of the Elliotof Church of Christ and Griswold Christian Churchbefore that. She enjoyed visiting with everyone from Elliott that stopped at the hardware to check on her. She was a wiz at her crosswords puzzles and loved shopping trips with her daughters. She really missed her dear friends left in Iowa. Marilyn was preceded in death by husbands, Hubert C Scherdin and George T Euans;parents Edward and Ruth (Billings) Boseck; brothers, Jerrold, Cecil,Beryl and Russell; granddaughter Amanda Wallace, and son-in-law Roger Wallace; many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. Survived by daughters Theresa Franco (Philip), Kathy Dominy (Michael); grandchildren, Vanessa Alba (Andrew), Randi Burress (Chris), Andi Dodd, and Adam Wallace; great grandkids Katie, Donovan and many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. The family has chosen a private family service at Braman Mortuary in Omaha and are planning graveside services in Elliott at a later date.
