Margaret Mary Sabus

Margaret Mary Sabus was born on November 26, 1941 in Omaha, Nebraska. Margie was born to John and Josephine Coder. She married Laurence Sabus on May 29, 1965 and they enjoyed 45 wonderful years together. They had four children: Peter, Paul, Noelle, and Matthew. She died in her home on July 25, 2021. Margie graduated from the college of Saint Mary and later taught English and French at Beveridge High School. Margie was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on March 24, 1974. She was an avid reader, especially of the Bible. She enjoyed many years volunteering her time and energy teaching others the Bible. Her hope was to again be with her family and friends on a paradise earth, as shown in these scriptures. Psalms 37:11: “The meek will possess the earth”; Psalms 37:29: “The righteous will possess the earth, and they will LIVE FOREVER ON IT”; Matthew 5:5: “Happy are the mild-tempered, since they will inherit the earth.” Margie was a beautiful person, inside and out. She was warm, funny and hospitable. She was a true people person. She loved her family and they loved her. She enjoyed traveling, reading, teaching and eating good food. Margie was preceded in death by her loving husband Larry, father John Coder, mother Josephine McNeel Coder, stepmother Betty Hughes Coder, and sister Ann Timmins. Survived by Peter Sabus (Julia), Paul Sabus (Theresa), Noelle Taylor (Paul), Matthew Sabus (Tracy) and her grandchildren Isaac, Hannah,Jacob, Josephina, Katarina, Peter, John and Sarah. Surviving siblings are Marilyn Bush (Gary), Tim Coder (Monica),Sue Lipsey, Rick Coder (Susan), Pat McCartin (Tom) and many nieces and nephews. She also has many good friends that will miss her dearly.
