MADSEN, Genevieve Marie Peterson Peters of Omaha, passed away March 15, 2013. She was born January 14, 1928 in Honey Creek, IA to Elsie & Henry Peterson. She attended schools in Beebeetown & graduated high school from Shelby in 1946. In 1949, she was married to Donald F. Peters, who preceded her in death in 2002. In 1994 she married Roger L. Madsen and they shared a wonderful life together between their homes in Omaha and the Rio Grand Valley, Texas. She was passionate about playing bridge, achieving Life Master status in 1993. She also loved her kids, being a wife to Roger, and being a grandmother and great-grandmother. The most important thing in her life, however, was her dedication to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Chester, Wayne & Merlin. She is survived by her husband, Roger; son, Mark of Edmond, OK; daughter, Kay of Omaha, NE & Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Rachael of Plattsmouth, NE; Zachary (Wendy) of Bozeman, MT; Spencer of Oklahoma City, OK; great-grandchildren, Jacinda & Caleb of Plattsmouth, NE Visitation, Monday 6-8pm at Braman Mortuary (Southwest Chapel) Celebration of Life, Tuesday, 1:30PM at Lutheran Church of the Master (2617 S. 114th St.) Interment, Shelby Township Cemetery, Shelby, IA Memorials can be directed to church or the Open Door Mission Visitation, Monday 6-8pm at Braman Mortuary (Southwest Chapel) Celebration of Life, Tuesday, 1:30PM at Lutheran Church of the Master (2617 S. 114th St.) Interment, Shelby Township Cemetery, Shelby, IA
