Lowene Ann Rathbun June 8, 1940 – November 23, 2023 Lowene Ann Rathbun passed away on Thanksgiving morning, November 23, 2023, in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 83. Lowene is survived by her daughter Kim Rathbun (Bo Grimm), brother Richard Bernt, two granddaughters Alyssa Rathbun (Alex Meester) and Melainie Johnson, two grandsons Joshua Case (Jessica Case) and Logan Grimm, niece Jennifer Church (Sam Church), great grandchildren Kraven Meester, Kinnick and Easton Meier, many nieces, nephews, friends, and her three dogs Hoshi, Winston, and Kawaii. Lowene is preceded in death by parents Ivan and Edna Bernt, son Donald T. Rathbun, and sister-in-law Sue Bernt. Lowene will be remembered for her caring, outgoing, and funny personality (most stories not appropriate for this page). She cherished the years she spent working with children at Child Protective Services and Omaha Public Schools. Lowene made an everlasting impact on everyone and will be greatly missed.
