He enjoyed everything sports and Husker related. Spent many years playing basketball and enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids play. He loved listening and dancing to Latin and country music. He always made everyone smile and talked to everyone anywhere he went. He spent his last couple years in Omaha healthy, laughing and playing almost daily with his granddaughter Iliana.

Bree and Robbie Carr- Texas, Shanea Melgoza & Juan Calero- Omaha NE; grandchildren: Noah Melgoza, Wyatt and Madison Whatley, Keaton and Savannah Carr, and Iliana and Angelo Calero; two sisters, Josie (Roger) Scott- Grand Island NE., Sylvia Sanchez- Fremont NE.

Robert J. Melgoza- 7-8-2022, Teresa Fraire- 1-17-24; his grandson, Seth Melgoza; nieces, Anita Piñon, Andrea Fraire, Adriana (Audie) Alvarez, and nephew, Scott Puente.
