Loretta "Lori" C. Borowiak

Loretta “Lori” Borowiak Loretta Corene Borowiak, a 72-year old resident of Omaha Nebraska, died January 21, 2012 at Methodists Hospital. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 10:00AM, with the family receiving friends at 9:00AM at Braman Mortuary in Omaha, NE with Pastor Jim Hardy officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Borowiak was born on October 9th, 1939, the daughter of Colby and Norma Wright. She was married on December 21st, 1957 to Glenn Norman Thorne, and had two sons. On March 20, 1989, Loretta married William “Bill” Borowiak, and resident in Omaha for the length of their marriage. Mr. Borowiak passed away on September 7th, 2006. Loretta graduated from the University of Omaha with a degree in Gerontology. Loretta had a love for cats, and spent a great deal of time volunteering at the Humane Society. Loretta is survived by two sons, Steven Thorne and his wife Alta, and Curtis Thorne and his wife Brenda all of Trenton, Missouri. Loretta also has a brother, Jerry Wright of Waukee, Iowa. Loretta had 4 grandchildren, Natalie Thorne, Heidi Thorne, Derek Thorne, all of Trenton Missouri, and Brandi Thorne (Mrs. John Hawkins) of Kansas City, and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 nephews and 1 niece. Loretta is preceded in death by her parents Colby and Norma Wright.
