Died September 10, 2024 Omaha, Nebraska.
Lonzo grew up in Malvern , Iowa. He graduated Class of 1947 from Malvern High School, Malvern, Iowa. Lonzo then served in the United States Navy for 20 years, upon retiring from the US NAVY, he moved to San Diego where he worked at Post Office as a letter carrier and retired after 22 years.
Lonzo also enjoyed playing Senior Softball as a Umpire and a pitcher in San Diego for a few years. He enjoyed watching Baseball and Wrestling in his spare time and grew roses and liked Big Band music. Then he moved to Omaha where he married his sweetheart from Malvern High school Freda , then enjoyed 34 years of happy marriage and traveled around the world. Lonzo was also a Nebraska Fraternal Order of Eagles in Omaha Area #38. Where he served many years and was awarded Hall of Fame in 2008 and served in office.
He was a wonderful husband, father and grandpa , great grandpa, brother and uncle. He will be missed by all. Lonzo is survived his by wife Freda; children; many other relative and friends.
