Stratton, Lois "Irene"

Lois Irene Stratton, 89 went home to be with Jesus November 15th, 2022. She was born on December 10, 1932, in Council Bluffs, IA to Margret and Raymond Jacobs. On June 25th, 1950, she married the love of her life Gene T. Stratton Sr. They celebrated 71 ½ years of marriage until God called Gene to come home on Feb. 6, 2022. To this union brought six children.
She was a member of the Omaha Friends Church until it closed. She was a seamstress taking in sewing and ironing when her children were young. She sewed many costumes and dresses for special events for her family. She also helped alongside of Gene in the family business of Stratton’s Jewelry, stringing beads and engraving for many stores in Omaha. She was an active member of the Omaha Miniature Guild, Miniature Enthusiasts and The Shoe Box Bunch making many rooms and miniature houses. She was also passionate about American History and genealogy. Her passion led her to become a member of the Omaha Chapter of The Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a Patriot of our country being founded on Biblical principles, and it is why as a family we ask that you honor her and our country by wearing Red, White and Blue to her service.
She is survived by Sons: Gene T. Stratton Jr.(Linda), Wichita, KS; Marlin Stratton (Beth); Tim Stratton (Lisa); Matt Stratton (Tammy)all of Omaha. Daughters: Juliann Kinser (Wilbur), Hugoton, KS; and Valerie Blaine (Casey) Edmond, OK
12 Grandchildren-Amanda, Christina, Timothy, Josi, Winton, Ying, Joshua, Heath, Alex, Christian, Courtney, and Benjamin
24 Great Grandchildren: Brian, Adelia, Austin, Savannah, Chandler, Jaxon, Gabby, CJ, Noli, Harry, Isaac, Nelayah, Saige Carly, Samantha, Savannah, Anthony, Lexi, Kolton, Kadence, Kloe, Layton and Twin boys to arrive in April; 1 Great, great Granddaughter Nezuko
Her beloved cat Maximillian
Her brother and Sisters in laws, and a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She was proceeded in Death by her husband, grandson Jason, Her parents, two brothers: Raymond and Richard Jacobs, two sisters: Betty Johnson and Marion Housley
Memorials: American Bible Society “Bibles for the Troops”
Service will be held at Braman Funeral Chapel, Omaha, NE on
Interment will be with her love at the Omaha National Cemetery
