Lem (Buster) Mitchell was born September 20, 1920 in Noble Lake, Arkansas, to Classie (Jones) and Daniel Mitchell. He was the eldest of nine children.Buster, as he was known, was baptised at an early age. Most of his life he resided with his parents, until moving to Omaha, Nebraska in 1984. Although he was mentally challenged, he enjoyed life. He had Multiple Sclerosis and was eventually confined to a nursing home in 1993. He left all pain and suffering behind on March 22, 2007 at the age of 86, at 5:00 PM at Immanuel Hospital.He was preceded in death by his parents, Classie and Daniel Mitchell, two brothers, Jasper and Ivory Mitchell, and one sister, Laura Brown. He leaves to mourn three sisters, Ida (Jimmy) Taylor, Earnestine (Lonnie) Easter and Mary Williams, all of Omaha, two brothers, S.D. (LaDonna) Mitchell of Russellville, Arkansas and D.J. Mitchell of Arkansas City, Arkansas; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.
