Lela J Strickney, born on January 24th, 1948 in Alma, NE to Lewis and Leila Dixon. Graduated from Alma High School and received her bachelors degree from Kearney College. She dedicated the majority of her adult life to providing in home daycare. She died on August 2nd, 2022.

Lela is preceded in death by her husband Richard Stickney, parents Lewis and Leila Dixon, siblings Virginia Marble, Edwin Dixon, Leroy Dixon, June Dixon. She is survived by her brother Virgil Dixon, children Richard Stickney (Deanna) and Jeanne Dymond (Brett), stepdaughters Barb Foster (Steve), Kate Evers (Jim), Peggy Huff (Bob), numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
