Leann Rose Bauer, 93, of Omaha, NE, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 23, 2023. Leann was born in Carroll, IA on August 22, 1929, and was the youngest daughter of the late Leo and Anna (Steffes) Schueller. Leann moved to Omaha and raised three sons while working at Mutual of Omaha. She retired from Mutual of Omaha in the late 1980s. Leann was devoted to her sons and grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, reading and providing care for others. Leann remained devoted to the Catholic Church. Survived by her children: Michael Bauer and wife Bonnie of Mineola, TX; and Mark Bauer and wife Merri of Omaha, NE. Grandchildren: Jeremy Bauer, Adrian Bauer, Melissa Bauer, Jared Bauer, Justin Bauer, Bethany Bauer, Brian Bauer, Brandon Bauer, McKenzie Bauer, 13 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. Preceded in Death by her son Thomas E. Bauer, parents, brother and sister. A viewing will be held Tuesday, March 28, 2023 from 5:00-7:00pm at Braman Mortuary, 1702 N. 72nd Street, Omaha NE. Catholic services will be held March 29, 2023 at 10:30am at St. Pius, 6905 Blondo St., Omaha NE. Procession to Calvary Cemetery will follow immediately after service.
