Larry S. Moss

Larry died at Bergen Mercy Hospital after a long battle with cancer. Larry is survived by sons Timothy Moss and Michael Moss; his sister Carol Kasperbauer; and his mother Esther Moyer. He is preceded in death by his father Red C. E. Moss. Born in Peoria, IL. The family moved to Omaha when Larry was young. After high school graduation, he served three years in the Army. Larry married Donna Hulsebus and raised his sons in Elkhorn while working in the insurance business. When his sons were grown he became long-time sports official for high school and college sports. Larry loved sports, animals, and days on the lake in his boat with his beloved dog Flag. He had an active social life and was a fixture around town, an irreverent story-teller, a proud father, and a caring son. He loved Omaha and lived a full life in the town he loved. A long-standing member of the Omaha Sports Club, he rarely missed an event. Larry never knew a stranger, and his one-of-a-kind sense of humor will be missed. A memorial will be held Sunday, December 26th from 3-7pm with Military Honors at 4:00PM all at Braman Mortuary (72 St. Chapel). In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Larry’s name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
