Larry R. "L.B." Blakeman

BLAKEMAN, Larry R. 11/16/1952 – 5/14/2021 Larry R Blakeman born November 16, 1952 to Harold R Blakeman and Gayle M Mullen, had two sisters Joan Blakeman and Robyn Blakeman. He graduated Millard High school in 1971 where he enjoyed playing football, basketball, track and baseball. He had a nickname “Snake” which was given to him by his friends. Larry married in 1972 to Deb Sinnen and had two daughters Melissa Blakeman and Jessica Blakeman, he had a third daughter in 1982, Angela Sing. Larry loved to play softball and had many friends he loved spending time with.Larry remarried in 1988 to Marta Young and had a stepson, Nathan Kellar. Over the years Larry has been blessed with several grandsons, Jacob, Caleb, Colton, Noah, Noah and Darian. He was funny, easy going, loved by so many and lived simply. Larry also indulged in fantasy foot ball and drinks with his friends, He was known to many as “L.B.” Larry was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that had spread to the brain in October 2020. He did put up a very hard fight while undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments. However, he lost his battle May 14th 2021 at 4:50am. His wishes were a celebration of life because that is how he lived. Our hope is all that knew Larry will come join us for this celebration. A celebration of L.B.’s life will be on Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 4-7:00pm at V.F.W.
