We are sad to announce the passing of Kristin Kay Carlsen of Omaha,NE. Kris passed at the age of 57 on December 24th surrounded by her family and numerous friends. She will be remembered for the battle she bravely fought against osteosarcoma, her love for hosting weekend football parties along with her passion for her beloved alma mater UW Badgers where she played in the marching band and her favorite professional team the Green Bay Packers.
She is proceeded in death by her son AJ. She is survived by her husband Chris and son Drew, mother Ann of Arlington Heights, IL, sister Kate Kanabay (Rob, Jason, Allison)of Arlington Heights, IL, 4 step children (Jake, Zach, Sam & Lexi) along with many close friends.
There will be a private ceremony in Omaha on January 7th at the family home for close friends and a celebration of her life in Park Rapids, MN on June 28th.
The family is asking in lieu of flowers, that contributions are made to Stand Up To Cancer, and/or Josie Harper Hospice House.
