Kevin Schwartzer was born July 22, 1963, in Columbus, NE to William Schwartzer and Marcia Dean. He graduated from Boy's Town High School and joined the U.S. Navy. He returned to Nebraska after the Navy and met the love of his life Jeanette. Kevin was a dedicated husband of 38 years to Jeanette and a devoted father to his four children; Jasmine (Brian), Dustin (Sarah), Kevin (Teresa), & Taylor (Jordan), and his nine grandchildren; Christian, Faith, Grace, Jax, Noah, Olivia, Jude, Logan, & Tucker.
His family and friends could count on his guidance and help whenever needed. He shared his incredible work ethic and strong values with his children and grandchildren. Kevin was an avid hunter especially loving deer hunting season at Niobrara with his sons, family, and friends. He loved fishing. He was a die-hard Husker fan never missing a game. The neighbors could hear Kevin rooting on his Huskers good or bad. He loved Westerns, especially John Wayne and would insist to Jeanette they needed to watch Westerns over “reruns.” He looked forward to hosting holiday meals for the family with Jeanette. Kevin loved to tease- especially Jeanette and loved to laugh-usually the loudest one in the room. His sweet tooth including his candy stash along with his love for mischief and fun was shared with his grandkids.
He spent the majority of his working life in safety in all facets of the construction industry as a teacher, motivator, mentor, and coach. He was the proud founder and owner of Safety 1 Consulting Services. He took great pride in serving his clients and valued their relationship.
Kevin miraculously survived a car accident 5 years ago and his family will be eternally grateful for this additional time shared. His untimely passing has left a void in the hearts of his family and friends who find comfort in knowing he is with God.
He was Preceded in death by father William; Kevin is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jeanette; children: Jasmine (Brian), Dustin (Sarah), Kevin (Teresa), Taylor (Jordan); mother Marcia; siblings: William, Kim, Tammy; ;9 grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
CELEBRATION OF KEVIN'S LIFE: Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 6:00pm at Braman Mortuary (Millard Chapel)
In lieu of flowers, memorials given to the family will be used in Kevin's memory at a later date
