McCauley,Kevin Edward February 25th, 1955 ~ July 25, 2023 Kevin Edward McCauley, age 68, passed away July 25, 2023. Kevin was born February 25, 1955, to Christopher & Marlene (Borre) McCauley in Evanston, Illinois. Kevin and his siblings, Christopher McCauley, Brian McCauley, and Mary McCauley, were raised with family, faith, and hard work as their foundation. Kevin entered into the United States Air Force and proudly served his country for 22 years retiring as Captain. On August 9, 1980, Kevin married Janine Liupakka in Cloquet, MN. Together they had Jennifer and Michael. Kevin’s military service offered great experiences for the family to travel and live abroad. After returning to the United States and retiring from the military, Kevin began his 22 years working for Union Pacific Technologies. This position moved the family to Omaha, NE, where Kevin and Janine still reside. Kevin took great pride in his family. Jennifer, his daughter, married to Curtis Davis, has two boys, Kevin’s grandson’s, Grayson (8), and Hudson (3). Michael, his son, is married to Kelly, and together they have two fur babies, Joey and Ruby. Early on Kevin thoroughly enjoyed racketball, running, and bowling. He appreciated a good book and a pick up game of backgammon. Kevin was an active member at St. Thomas Lutheran Church. In retirement, Kevin & Janine enjoyed traveling again. Kevin was known for his “Dad” jokes, a fondness of ice cream and sweets, and a willingness to serve. Kevin wanted people to know they were seen, taken care of, and provided for. He volunteered to help those in need with tax services, served on the food pantry board for Project Hope, and assisted with the church youth. He left this earth surrounded by the love of his family and the truth of God’s love and grace. Memorials may be made to Project Hope, St. Thomas Lutheran Church, or Josie Harper Hospice House.
