Kent Brooks was born on January 16, 1977 in Eagle Grove, Iowa to Julie Omvig and Kent “Pork” Brooks. Kent was a student of life and loved learning. He attended Eagle Grove high school and graduated with honors in 1995. He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts, Secondary Education. In 2012 he graduated with a Masters of Science, Clinical Counseling, from Bellevue University. Through his academic career he participated in many activities and societies such as, Football, Basketball, JETS, Student Representative for Eagle Grove Area Dollars for Scholars and the Delta Chi Fraternity. Kent was a wearer of many hats in his choice of careers. He always excelled in sales, however, it was when he opened his own business that he found his true calling and greatest joy. Nicoticket, a company that created unique e liquid blends and sold them all over the world, helped numerous individuals quit smoking and change their lives. Kent was a unique and charismatic individual, who brought love and humor to the many people he knew. The hurt from the loss of this father, son, brother, nephew, cousin, friend and acquaintance is deeply felt. “I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make.
