Karibu Jim Crudup of 2324 N 71st Street, Omaha, Nebraska was called home to be with our Lord on Dec. 30,2011. Karibu was born to the proud parents of Jimmie and Sarah Crudup on Feb, 2,1972 in New Haven, Connecticut. His family relocated to Omaha, Nebraska in 1983 where Karibu was raised. Karibu attended Monroe Jr. High and Central High School where he excelled as an athlete in basketball and track. He held various jobs that involved helping others. Eventually he found his calling with youth. Karibu enjoyed his position as a youth care worker at Heartland Family Services. On February 22,2009 Karibu united with Pleasant Green Baptist Church where he served as a faithful member. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed watching Karate movies, sports, and cooking in his past time. Having had the pleasure to cook for others definitely brought joy to his heart and to those that had the opportunity to taste his cooking. They knew it was made with love. Karibu’s infectious laugh and smile will be dearly missed but we are comforted to know that he has found solace and peace with God. Karibu is survived by his six children, Andrew Johnson, Ja’Lesa Johnson, Karibu Crudup, Aaron Johnson, Ka’Lesa Johnson, Ka’Lisha Wells and DaQuasn Crudop , all of Omaha, Nebraska. , his devoted mother Sarah Crudop and stepfather Willie Williams and siblings, Jimmie Lee Crudup Jr. of Lincoln, Nebraska, Jennie (Jason) Joyner of upper Marlboro, MD and Jane Crudup of Omaha,Nebraska. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Daniel Rowell, Kariba Crudup Jr. and Jordyn Johnson, three nieces, JaTae Joyner, Jayda Joyner, Jordan Joyner and one nephew Jaedon Joyner and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Jimmie Lee Crudup Sr., grandmother, Roxie Murray and Uncle, Craig Murray.
