Julie Ann Liewer (Brauckmuller) March 2, 1959 – November 20, 2013 Proceeded by mother, Helen (Betty) Brauckmuller. Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 27 years, Patrick Liewer; daughters, Dr. Kelly Danaher and husband D. Dylan Walker and Nicole Liewer; Father, Earl Brauckmuller and wife Lucille; brothers, Tom Brauckmuller and wife Linda, Gary Brauckmuller and wife Sue; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Julie and Patrick, after returning from Alaska (1987 – 1992) where Patrick was stationed with the Airforce, lived in Millard, Nebraska from 1993 – Present, though she could not wait to move back to Ashland where her and Patrick spent so much time. Julie was a 1977 graduate of Ashland-Greenwood High School in Ashland, Nebraska. 2002-2005 she returned to school at Metro Community College to work toward an Associates of Arts in Social Sciences with an emphasis in Interior Design. One credit hour short of her degree, Julie started working in property management for PJ Morgan Real Estate. She then began working for NBD Properties in February, 2011. Julie had many jobs over the years, and to all of them she brought her amazing skill to get things done. Julie worked in and managed elementary school kitchens in the Middle Public School District for many years. Prior to that she worked for Marten Marietta Materials in the 90’s. While in Alaska, she did in-home day care. A devoted and passionate mother who supported her daughters in many ways, she was a leader for Kelly’s girl scouts and attended every one of Nicole’s softball games. She loved decorating, redoing her house every three years. Julie was an avid DIY, sewing, upholstering chairs, and making home decorations. She loved history and antiques. And above all else, she loved to shop. Outspoken and energetic, she always told you what was on her mind, and she never sat down. Julie was the pillar of her family, making them all better because of it. She truly was a woman of strength, love and devotion.
