Judith 'Judy' Lee Lundbeck

Judith “Judy” Lundbeck, 72, of Louisville, NE died Friday, October 11 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Judy was born April 7, 1941, in St. Paul, MN to John and Marion Lathrop. She graduated from St. Paul Central High School in 1959 and attended the University of Minnesota majoring in art. On April 15, 1961, Judy was united in marriage to Jerome “Jerry” Lundbeck at House of Hope Presbyterian Church in St. Paul, MN. Judy and her husband were blessed with 52 years of marriage and two daughters, Karin and Laura. They moved to Fargo, North Dakota in 1969 where Judy was an American Kennel Club licensed obedience judge, breeder, and owner of Companion Dog Obedience School. In 1976, the family moved to Louisville, NE where Judy was employed at the Ramada Inn in Omaha, NE as a Banquet Sales Coordinator. She later joined Candlewood Animal Hospital in Omaha as a receptionist and supervised the dog grooming activities at the facility. Judy was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Louisville and currently served as a volunteer in the Pulmonary Rehab Department at Methodist Hospital. Survivors include her husband, Jerry of Louisville; two daughters, Karin (Doug) Rieger of Columbus, and Laura (Tim) Burkink of Kearney; grandchildren, Kyle, Jared, David, Annie, and Emily; brother, John Lathrop of Maplewood, MN; sister, Joan (Rich) Castles, Largo, FL; sister-in-law, Barbara (Richard) Hough, Roseville, MN, brother-in-law, Roger (Nadine) Lundbeck, Spanish Fork, UT, and many nieces and nephews. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, John & Marion Lathrop & sister, Jacqueline DeLong.
