Joyce M. Habbena

Joyce M. Habbena was born to the late William and Gertrude (Meester) Hinrichs on June 24, 1932 in Ellsworth Minnesota. She is proceeded in death by her husband Harley; son-in-laws Roger Kelderman, Jack Aschinger, Mike Rogers, three brothers, one sister and several other family members. She leaves behind her daughters Colleen Kelderman, Colette Habbena (Johnson), Constance Aschinger, Karen Rogers and one surviving son-in-law Steve Johnson. Grandchildren include Melissa Lahm; Chad Kelderman and wife Andrea; Jacki Schroeder and husband Corey; Scott Johnson; Marie Moyers and husband Chris; Brandon Phelps and wife Kristin; Preston Phelps and wife Melissa; Zachery Fitzwater and wife Savannah.
Bonus Grandchildren Kerry Walker and husband Mike; Jack Jr. Aschinger and partner Greg; Larry Rogers. Great Grandchildren include Chasidy Masek and husband Dan; Fayth Moyers, Emma Lahm, Randi and Rylee Shroeder, Blake Kelderman, Stella Lahm, Brooklyn Kelderman, Caylee Kelderman, Grayci Moyers, Cullen Phelps; Kayden Phelps and Cruz Kelderman.
Bonus Great Grandchildren include Faith Leanne Moyers, Jayce Moyers, Mason Rogers, Gracie Rogers and Shelby Walker. Great-Great Grandchild Jameyson Masek.
Joyce moved to Omaha in 2010 to be with family after living several years in Ellsworth Minnesota prior to the death of her husband Harley. Joyce was active in The American Legion Auxiliary and with the United Methodist Women. Joyce spent several years working with the Good Samaritan Society Center in Ellsworth Minnesota and in Omaha Nebraska. She also enjoyed working with Adrian Minnesota public schools and Millard (Omaha) Nebraska public schools. Joyce was also active with Meals-on-Wheels in Minnesota. Her hobbies included Crocheting, cross-stitching, fishing and inspecting Harley's carpentry skills and played bingo very seriously in her later years.
Celebration of Life will be held at Braman Mortuary & Cremation Services-Southwest Chapel at 6505 South 144th Street, Omaha, NE 68137 on Saturday November 12, 2022 from 5-7 pm.
Family and friends are welcome to come and share in the celebration of Joyce.
