John L. Watson

January 21, 1964 — September 26, 2021

John was the definition of an outdoors lover. He began his years in Texas spending days on lakes, rivers, and in the Gulf Coast. When his family moved to Nebraska that became a little tougher but John still found his place in nature waterfowl hunting with his father and brothers. After he was married, his outdoor times began to be spent pheasant hunting with his son in the fall/winter and fishing in the warmer months. John looked forward all year to his annual family trip to Minnesota to spend a week on the lakes fishing and boating with his children and family. John loved to watch his Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys with his children, making a point to embarrass them by dancing to the Monday Night Football anthem. John was an extremely hard worker to say the least, working a labor job his entire adult life never complaining even while working through injuries. His family was everything to him, but unfortunately addiction began to impact these relationships. John struggled with many healthy issues in his last 8-10 years of life but never quit the fight. Eventually his body wore to the point where medication was not enough and passed away September 26th 2021.
