GOINGS, John A. 9/9/1951 – 4/9/2018 Age 66 years of Omaha John was born on 9/9/1951 at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. John's father was in the army and they traveled to different bases. He went to kindergarten in Germany. John's family grew with the birth of two brothers, Steve & Richard, and one sister Bonnie. John graduated from Lewis Central High School in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He enlisted in the Marine Corp right after High School and was sent to Camp Pendleton, he served in Vietnam. Upon his discharge he settled in Omaha, Nebraska. John married his wife, Joyce and they were married for 43 years. John graduated college from the University of Nebraska & he worked at Northwestern Bell as a Long Distance Operator. He then joined the National Guard and worked as a full time employee. We wish John peace. Thanks to his family, friends, caregivers and so many others for enriching his life. John was preceded in death by parents, Jack & Beverly, brother Steve and sister Bonnie Goings. He is survived by his Wife Joyce Goings; Brother Richard Goings; Grandsons Devron & Rex Hofer; Sister-in-law Debbie (Bill) Kee; Nieces & Nephews: Galen, Lori, Travis, Mason, Brandee, Ashley; Many other relatives & friends.
