PILANT, Joan M. Age 95 years of Omaha Joan passed away March 6, 2018 in Bennington, NE at her son’s home surrounded by her family.From her in birth Omaha on June 30, 1922 to her death on Monday, she nourished people around her with love, faith and laughter. Joan was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post #2503 Auxiliary where she served as an officer in many different roles.She was an avid volunteer in the community.Joan volunteered weekly, for over 20 years, with youth by reading to children in the Omaha Public School District.Additionally, she volunteered weekly at the Omaha VA Hospital. Joan was preceded in death by her husband Donald, son Frank, infant daughter Donna Mae. She is survived by her sons: Roger & wife Diane, Bill & wife Cheryle; Daughter Holly Drinkwine; Daughter-in-law Mary Jo Pilant; Special niece Katy Pollard.11 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren, 6 Great-Great Grandchildren.
