THOMAS, Jessica Elizabeth Anne 11/20/1976 – 7/7/2019 Jessica Elizabeth Anne Thomas 42, of Omaha , NE released herself from the pain and suffering of her body and mind on July 7th, 2019. She was welcomed by the lord into heaven to rest in beautiful sunsets and find peace among the moon and stars. Jessica was born in Iowa City, IA on November 20th, 1976 to Brenda Louise Albert and Larry Paul Sanders. She grew up in Davenport, IA across from a cornfield with her mother and her older sister, Amy Jo Watkins.Jessica was baptized into the loving arms of Jesus Christ, she was very active in church and loved her years as a counselor at Camp Moses Merrill. She moved to Omaha in elementary school.Her mother married her step father Johnny Rocha, and she gained 2 more siblings, Megan Marie Rocha and Erick Zachary Rocha.She later attended Benson High, Burke High, and graduated from Westside High. She met John David Thomas Jr. aka "Rusty" in 1996 through mutual friends and their love story quickly began.Jessica blessed the world with their first child, Jazzmyn Mackenzie Thomas, on September 3rd, 1997.They bought their first home in 2001 and soon after had a son, Mason John Thomas, on February 11th, 2003.Shortly after, Jessica became pregnant with her final beautiful baby.Lauren Elizabeth Anne Thomas was born December 29th, 2004. In recent years Jessica was given the gift of becoming a grandmother by her daughter Jazzmyn.Greyson Archer Givens was born December 8th, 2016 and Kaine Deman Johnson followed on September 21st, 2018.She loved those little boys more than anyone can understand.Their faces lit up every time they saw her beautiful smile. Jessica struggled many years with a broken body and a suffering heart.She has been released from that pain forever. Her beautiful old hippie soul is at peace now with the lord.She was loved by so many people.Jessica loved the beauty of nature and spent many days and nights next to Rusty imagining shapes in trees and the clouds and wondering about all the stars in the sky.She was very spiritual and felt connected to the unknown forces at work in the world around her.She was selfless in life and always full of love for everyone around her.She was always willing to help anyone in distress, but could not find a way to reach out to help herself.Please help her family, beautiful children, and young grandchildren forget her sadness. Help them celebrate the amazing woman they know she was and leave them with stories of her kindness, humor, and beauty.She did not leave them alone, but left them to cherish amazing memories of a kind and caring mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and wife. Jessica is survived by her Husband John Thomas; Children: Jazzmyn, Mason, Lauren Thomas; Grandsons: Greyson, Kaine; Father Larry Sanders; Mother Brenda Rocha-Hoelzen; 3 Siblings; Many other relatives and friends.
