Jeffrey A. Wade

WADE, Jeffrey A. 7/5/1958 – 2/1/2019 Jeffrey’s youth was spent outside mostly with sports and also Boy Scout Troop 7. His favorite sport was baseball where he played catcher enthralled in the strategy and control of the game.In High School he met his sweetheart Carol, where they married and ventured out into the world. While both were very intelligent and could own the world, they preferred living in a rural setting with minimal needs and requirements. This included two summers they spent in a log cabin in Alaska with no heat or running water.When their marriage unfortunately ended Jeff returned back to Omaha. While there he found his love for cooking as chef/cook in several area restaurants. After Dad passed away, he and mom shared our family home until she moved to assisted living in 2018.That time was a comfort to both providing them many hours and moments of companionship.From our childhood until his passing Jeffrey was also surrounded by cats.He had as many as 10 cats in one farm home near Lincoln, Nebraska. His surviving cats are Bugara and Oliver who now have new loving homes.Jeff and family would also like to provide a special thanks to all the staff at Immanuel Hospital, who were Angels of care in his last days of his life journey.We celebrate his salvation as he reaffirmed his faith in those last days with Pastor John. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father Harry Wade; He is survived by his Mother Beverly Wade; Brother Martin Wade and wife Lora; Nephew Ryan Wade & wife Miriam; Niece Amanda Wade; Many other relatives and friends.
