WOSTER, JANET E. 1/22/1962– 11/29/2021 Janet was the 2nd of 7 children, a beautiful baby with a smile to carry her through the years!From riding a horse in the Ankeny, IA parade to rescuing a little dog who became our much loved Scooter, Janet was an animal lover who liked adventure.Janet was not big on organized sports but was the first one to play with kids or ride the tube at the lake.She was also a great skier when our family enjoyed weekends at DeSoto Bend with wonderful family and friends along for the ride. Janet graduated from Ralston High School in 1980. She married Greg Woster on Nov. 22, 1980. Janet and Greg had 3 children; Luke, Dustin and Logan. Greg and Janet enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time at the lake while raising their boys. Janet owned a flower shop with her father and ran a successful business for 12 years before selling it and going to work at Yutan Elementary as a Para in 1997. Yutan was blessed to have her work with our children for24 years. During her summer breaks at school Janet loved working at the produce stand. Janet also had a cupcake business where she baked for weddings, graduations, and all kinds of gatherings. She made the best cupcakes in the state. Janet has enjoyed passing on her love of baking to her grandchildren! Janet was a devoted Catholic and enjoyed volunteering her time at St. James church, teaching CCD and decorating for different times of the year. She also gave her time to the booster club and the Youth concession stand for many years. Janet loved watching and rooting on her boys as they played sports all the way from little league to men’s baseball. She was their biggest fan! Janet loved golf, horseback riding, pool and lake days in the summer with all the grandchildren, nieces and nephews; vacations with the family, whether just the 5 of them or the whole extended bunch! Janet adored her family and was always looking for ways to bring joy to others. Janet was an extraordinary Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister and friend. She will be missed by all. Janet was preceded in death by father Jerry Gray; father-in-law Louis Woster. She is survived by husband Gregory Woster; sons Luke (Angie), Dustin (Colby), Logan Woster; grandchildren Tyler, Trevor, Kylie, Capri, Bo, Thea; great-grandson Brigston; mother Donna Gray; siblings Sue (Rick) Hollendieck, Tom (Lisa) Gray, Julie (Ray) Stahla, Pat (Kelly) Gray, Bill (Daylene) Gray, Rick (Vicky) Gray; mother-in-law Lois Woster; brother-in-laws Mike (Linda), Pat (Debbie), Al (Jenna), Jeff (Julie), Brian (Tammie) Woster; sister-in-law Shelly Woster. Many other relatives and friends. Visitation: Thurs, Dec. 2, 2021, 4-7:00 PM with 7:00 PM Rosary at St. James Catholic Church (213 8th St. Mead, NE 68041). Funeral Mass: Fri, Dec 3, 2021, 10:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church, with a luncheon immediately following the service. Interment: Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Gretna, NE.
