Jane Alden Johnson was born in Gholston, MS, to Annie Westerfield Harrington and Wilbert Harrington on July 9, 1941.She was the 2nd oldest of eleven siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents, Annie and Wilbert Harrington; stepmother, Callie Harrington; brother, Wilbert Harrington Jr.; sisters, Bobby Harrington and Peggy Rucker; and daughter, Crystel Reed-Hall. Jane was united in holy matrimony to Johnny C. Johnson on December 24, 1992, although, their relationship endured for over 40 years.Jane’s last words to Johnny C. were, “My life with you was the most fulfilling time of my life.I am so thankful God brought you into my life.”Johnny C. reminiscing, “Jane and I never had an argument, she was a classy lady.That is what endeared me to her.”Prior to meeting Johnny C., Jane had 2 daughters, Laura Cullins and Crystel Reed-Hall. She was a graduate of Technical High School, and worked as a union laborer at 7-Up, Sarah Lee, and Dial Corporation, where she retired. Some of her favorite activities were playing bingo, cards, and watching game shows on TV.She loved her family, and she was the go-to person when a family member needed help.She helped to raise her granddaughter, Jirmika and great granddaughter, Olivia. Jane leaves to cherish her memory:Husband, Johnny C.
