Jane Bodnar, 76, passed away peacefully at her home in Omaha, Nebraska on November 12, 2024. Jane was a beloved sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She lived a full life and persevered through many health challenges, acting with strength, integrity, and love. She always kept her curiosity and was a lifelong learner, willing to ask questions and think independently. Jane will be remembered as a dedicated advocate for children, serving over 25 years as a social worker. She is survived by her husband, John Bodnar, her daughters, Lacey Bodnar and Lindsey Bodnar, and her three step-children: James "Jimmy" Bodnar, Cindy Dague, and Linda Ostry. She is greatly loved and will be dearly missed.

Jane will be buried on Monday, November 18th. Family and friends are gathering to celebrate her life with a service on November 18th at Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church, 2650 Farnam St, Omaha, NE 68131. Doors open at 9:00am, and the service begins at 9:30. A second graveside service, open to family and friends, will be held at 11:00am at Omaha National Cemetery, 14250 Schram Rd, Omaha, NE 68138.

Memorial gifts are welcome to Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church Food Pantry. Flowers may be sent for the family to her daughter Lindsey's house at 10635 S 190th St, Omaha, NE 68135.
