STACHURA, James J. 6/20/1935 – 1/11/2020 Age 84 years of Omaha Jim Stachura, age 84 of Omaha.Preceded in death by JoAnn, his wife of 60 years, parents Emmanuel and Caroline (Sock) Stachura and brother Frank.Survived by daughters Cheri (Bill) Perdue, Cindy (Mark) Plymale, Jackie (Stacey) Olson; grandchildren Jeff (Jenae) Perdue, Cori (Chris) Schmid, Ashley (Owen) Berg, Amanda Plymale; great grandchildren Berkley, Carter, Laila; siblings Eva Lantz, Mike (Connie) Stachura, Mary (Mike) Maguire; sister-in-law June Stachura; many other relatives and friends. Jim married JoAnn Govern, the love of his life, on May 6, 1956. They had three daughters. Jim was an avid Husker football (volleyball and basketball) and Kansas City Royals fan.He loved horses and enjoyed his time working around the country on the horse racing circuit with Jack Van Berg.He worked for many years as a block and brick layer for Pacesetter Homes (Regency Homes).He formed his own company, Stachura Masonry where he did strictly brick work up until his retirement.He and JoAnn loved to take trips to Branson, MO and Colorado.They would also take quick trips to Council Bluffs as both loved to play the slots.Jim loved a good game of bingo too!! Funeral Mass: Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020 at 10:00am at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church (16701 S.
