CHAPMAN, James LaMont 9/9/1962 - 5/27/2017 Age 54 years of Omaha “What up though (dough)” and “Greetings” are two famous phrases James would say the moment he laid eyes on you.Shortly thereafter came about a 5 minute tear filled super tight hug. He never met a stranger. When in his presence, you were loved and you knew it. In an instance,he would cry with you without even knowing you. He acknowledged God and ended his sentences boldly saying “In Jesus Name” or “ In the name of Yeshua”. James was born on Sunday September 9, 1962 in Omaha, NE to James and Marion Joyce Chapman. He was the eldest of five children.James attended Lake, Conestoga Elementary, Nathan Hale and Monroe Middle School.He attended the University of Central High class of 81’.He was a member of Faith Temple C.O.G.I.C. where he sang in the Angel’s singers, Youth choir and Midnight Special choir. James also played the drums and percussion. James played in the Omaha music scene with various bands and was well known for his strong but smooth voice. James migrated to Minneapolis, MN in the 1989 to pursue a dream of starting his own business.In 1992, Auto Sound Installation was created.He later started consulting in real estate investments where he helped many achieve the American dream of owning a home. James also started a real estate support business called Blessed Property Services, LLC where he worked until his passing. James was known for his famous quotes, “What up though (dough)”, “Greetings”, “God Bless”, “Everything works off of frequency.Etc. He was very intelligent and shared any knowledge he had with the world. He would shout from the rooftops that “Everything Works Off Of Frequency”. A “one of a kind” salt of the earth, James L. Chapman Jr. will be missed. James loved God and his family. and He leaves to cherish his memory with his Parents, James and Marion Joyce Chapman ( Omaha, NE), wife, Geneva Tina (Stroud) Chapman ( Minneapolis, MN), sons James Henley IIIOmaha, Gabriel Williams ( Denver, CO), Prieston Stroud, daughters, Tanetha Stroud Chapman( Topeka, KS) , Chala Stroud ( Minneapolis, MN), brothers Craig ( Ella Amanda ) Chapman ( Minneapolis, MN), Edward Chapman ( Jody Chapman Minneapolis, MN), sisters Darla Chapman (Omaha, NE) and Doriette Jordan (Eric Jordan) Omaha, NE. 7 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and extended family that reaches all over the United States. Visitation: Friday, June 9, 2017 from 6-8:00pm at Braman Mortuary (72 St. Chapel) Celebration of James' Life: Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 9:00am at Morning Star Baptist Church (2019 Burdette St.).Officiating will be James' 1st cousin, Bishop R.E.
