Jacque A Stroud

Jacque Ann Stroud was born on February 11th, 1958 to Darreld and Gayle Carroll in Omaha, NE. The oldest of three daughters, Jacque married in 1978 and went on to have three daughters of her own. Her marriage to Thomas Stroud, an Air Force Master Sergeant, took her to California for many years before returning to Omaha following Tom’s retirement from the military. Jacque spent her adult life as a full-time mom to her children – Mande, Amy and Sarah. She worked a variety of jobs during short stints in the workforce. Jacque’s great loves were brand-new babies, her grandchildren, and spending time enjoying creation – both nature and the animal kingdom. She enjoyed spending time rehabbing her home with her husband, tending to their yard, and preparing for the holidays. Nothing made her happier than hunting for and finding the perfect gift for someone to celebrate a special occasion. Beautiful wrapping was almost as important as the treasure inside! Family meant a great deal to Jacque. She was surrounded by a loving crew in the days leading to her death. They spent time reminiscing about their collected memories of Jacque and were comforted to know that her legacy remains with them still. Jacque is survived by her husband of four decades, Thomas Stroud; daughters Mande (James) Saitta, Amy Stroud, and Sarah (Nathan) Puffer; granddaughters Olivia, Natalee, Brooklynn and Grace; grandsons Rhyan, Kaden and Masen; mother Gayle Carroll; sisters Michelle Haynes and Kelly Nath. She is also survived by many extended loved ones, including aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by the baby she lost to miscarriage and her father, Darreld Carroll. Jacque’s life will be celebrated on Monday, September 20th, 2021; her family will receive guests from 4-7pm at Braman Mortuary (144th St.).
