Martinez, Itsukki

11/13/2006 - 12/1/2023

Itsukki Martinez, 17, born on 11/13/2006 in Omaha, NE passed away on 12/1/2023 in Creston, IA.

With our deepest sorrows we are having to inform you of the passing of Itsukki due to a car accident. We never thought you would be taken from us so soon. You were such an inspiration for everyone around you. Your love and compassion for others was something you started at a very young age and carried through your entire life. You, and the impact you made on everyone around you, will be deeply missed.

Itsukki was a Junior at Millard South High School. He was part of the Avenue Scholars program and was so proud of what he had accomplished with them so far. He was the oldest of four siblings and loved and cared for each one so deeply. Itsukki was excited to get out on his own and for his bright future working with computers and auto body painting. He loved singing and drawing. Music was always more than just a song. Every song had a meaning for him.

Itsukki moved through life with so much determination. He had such an eagerness to learn and to change the hard world around him. He was brave, resilient, protective, and never allowed anyone to break his spirit. His smile was contagious and his laugh would warm your soul. He was proud of who he was and what he represented.

Itsukki, you are so loved and now you are free. Fly high for us baby. Visit all of the earth's beauty and beyond. Jump on the clouds and come wrap your spirit around us.

Itsukki is preceded in death by Caleb Roman (cousin), Walter Pope (great grandfather), Mary Schlicker (great grandmother), David Harrison (grandfather), and many more.

He is survived by Harvey Martinez (dad), Chris and Fe Pope (mommas), Mei (sibling), Toby (sibling), and Julius (sibling) as well as numerous grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Visitation: Tuesday, December 12, from 4-7 pm @ Braman Mortuary Southwest Chapel, 6505 S. 144th St., Omaha, NE
