Isabel Wilson passed away December 16, 2019.Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Warren Wilson.Survived by four children:Lynne (husband Chuck), Bill, Nancy (late husband Rich) and Sue (husband Chris), In addition to her children she leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter.Isabel was preceded in death by many of her siblings.She remained close with her surviving sisters Margaret Greenly and Linda Effisimo. Isabel was born in Rio Vista California to Jose and Rosario Ramirez.She was the third oldest of 15 children.The family moved to San Francisco where Isabel met and married Warren. They settled in the Sunset District of San Francisco and the children attended St. Cecilia grade school.Isabel was extremely active in all aspects of parish life until her move to Omaha Nebraska in January 2019.She was involved in the St. Cecilia Mother’s Club, League of the Sacred Heart, Little Children’s Aid Auxiliary, parish mailings, and St. Cecilia Senior Center. Mom had a great love of family and will be missed by her family in the Midwest and in California.As a long-time resident of San Francisco, she had frequent lunches with her friends, and many of her friendships spanned decades.She was blessed with friendships of over 60 years.Her house was the gathering place for family.Even after her move to Omaha Isabel received countless cards, flowers, phone calls, and good wishes from her friends and family in California. At the young age of 97 Isabel embraced her move to the good life in Nebraska.She attended the Franciscan Day Center two days per week and made many new friends.She explored the city of Omaha and visited museums, the Lauritzen Gardens, and the zoo.She also frequented the casino and enjoyed many lunches around town.Isabel also explored small town Iowa. A highlight of her time in Omaha was her involvement with wedding dress shopping for her grandson’s wedding.She loved snow, and thought that it was so beautiful.Isabel also continued to have her hair and nails done every two weeks.At home she loved watching Family Feud and playing with her puppies. The Rosary was the center of Isabel’s life.She always made it a point to keep her loved ones close in prayer and ended her evening every night praying the Rosary.Isabel even prayed the Rosary the evening before she passed away. Isabel missed Warren deeply over the past 26 years.Now they are together again.
