PETERSON, Hazel E. (Bondeson) of The Woodslands, TX formerly of Omaha, NE Jan. 19, 1921 ~ Jun. 28, 2014 Hazel was born in Bridgeport, CT and raised in Terryville, CT. She graduated Morse Business School in Hartford, CT and graduated Bethel College in St. Paul, MN. She was married 37 years to Rev. Royal F. Peterson and cherished her years as a pastor's wife serving in Atwater, MN, Bloomington, MN and Omaha, NE. She enjoyed her work as an executive secretary in Bristol, CT, and a librarian's aide at Harry A. Burke High School in Omaha, NE She was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and touched many over her lifetime. She will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Royal F. Peterson; daughter, Cheryl Axtell; grandson, Spencer Axtell; great-grandson, Aiden Freeman. Survived by her son, Dixon Peterson, wife Becky; daughter, Jill Ilski; brother, Russell Bondeson, wife Doris; grandchildren, Matthew (Angie) Axtell, Jessica (Russell) Freeman, Jason Peterson, Kristi Peterson, Audrianna Ilski, Aleksaundra Ilski; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Axtell, Dylan Axtell, Macie Axtell, Mikayla Freeman, Kelli Freeman and many nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life, Thursday, 11:00am at the Omaha Christian Center (4215 N. 92nd Ave.) Family will receive friends starting at 10:00 Thursday.
