Harriette Edna Macklin. Age 70 March 28, 1942 - April 14, 2012 Harriette was born on March 28, 1942, in Omaha, Nebraska to Ophelia Martin and Harold McCoy. Harriette united in her first marriage to Samuel Young. Harriette became a believer worshiped under the leadership of the late Pastor John E. Mitchell. She later joined Paradise Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Thomas Smith. While a member at Paradise, Harriette was involved in women's ministry, missions and Noon Bible study class. Harriette married Richard Macklin on September 5, 1993. Through this union they built a stronger relationship with Christ and kept Christ at the center of their marriage. On Saturday, April 14th, 2012, Harriette departed from this life. Proceeding her in death, were her parents Harold and Ophelia, sisters Betty Adams and Ruthie Abraham Britt, brother Charles Martin, dear friend William Finch, and her husband of 18 years Richard Macklin, who died on December 19,2011. She leaves to mourn her five children Samuel (Debbie) Young, Jr.,of TX. Elton D. (Connie) Edmond, Lincoln, NE, Terry (Vickie) Young, Lisa Young, Felicia Young Johnson, Omaha. Grandchildren Nicole; Drew and Easton; Reneire, Ariez, Chessica, Victoria, Nathaniel, Langston, Somer and Aubrey; Quincy and Regan; Sarai, Kelly, Roman and Joshua. Her sister Rosemary Crossley and brother-in-law, Sonny. Many dear friends, including Ed Finch and a host of nieces and nephews who fondly caller her " Aunt Harriette" Harriette's contagious laughter and warm gentle hugs will be missed.
