FARSON, Harlan Ray “Radar”, age 68 years of Omaha, passed away Oct. 21, 2010. Known as “Radar” to his many friends, Harlan died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, October 21, 2010. He is preceded in death by his father, Harold R. Farson, brother, Richard (Dick) Farson, sisters, Patti Brown and Karen Snyder. He is survived by his mother, Virginia Farson, sons, Blayne Farson of Elkhorn, NE and Michael (Shannon) Blizard of Fayetteville, NC, sister Sue (Mike) Alonzo, brother, Norman Gene Farson, sister-in-law, Tina Mach, brother-in-law, John Snyder, all of Omaha, grandchildren, Chase, Chance & Cole, ex-wife Debra Hart of Elkhorn, NE, nieces, nephews and many more family and friends. Harlan was a kind and gentle man who could walk into a room full of strangers and call them his friends before he left. He loved to fish, loved the “Cubbies” and was one of the greatest “Big Red” fans ever. Harlan was a Army Veteran and was stationed in Germany as a young man. He is a member of VFW Post #247 in Omaha. He had a tremendous love of life and a wry sense of humor that kept everyone guessing. Knowing that Radar will not fill a room with his smile is a great loss to all who knew him, he will be sorely missed. A Memorial Gathering will be Sunday, (11-7-10), from 2:30-4:00PM at Braman Mortuary (72nd St. Chapel) with Military Honors provided by Post 247 at 2:30PM at the Mortuary Inurnment, Private.
