Preceded in death by father, Donald Newbold. Grant loved Jesus and would proudly let you know; he lived the faith as a devout Catholic. The love Grant had for his son was magnificent. Owen was Grant’s world, and they will always be best friends; they shared many things, including their faith and desire to help others. Grant was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He made time to volunteer and sought to assist those who needed a hand…family, friends, strangers. Grant was an organ donor. He was unworldly and wanted to pass along the same spirit of service, Grant and Owen would make sandwiches on Saturdays and take them downtown to feed the homeless. Along with a rosary, he always had carrots and celery in his pockets and offered snacks to everyone Grant was skilled in accounting and computing. He was most recently employed by LTI and worked for an extended period at PayPal. He appreciated his colleagues. He was a sports fanatic. Grant especially appreciated basketball, Michael Jordan—#23, and golf—Tiger Woods. He loved golfing and fishing with Owen and was his biggest fan at his sporting events. If there’s such a thing as walking your dog too much, Grant was guilty with Motto. Grant had a smile of gold, laugh that was contagious, and blue eyes that endeared.
