"Grandpa Jerry" was born to Robert Brazda and Lena Brazda on Wednesday, December 27, 1933 in Wisner, Nebraska. He is preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 60 years Jeanine Fredrickson Brazda (82), who passed on March 14, 2015 and his daughter, Lisa Brazda Mayhew (53) on May 31, 2013. It wasn't enough that Jerry's storied career won him a wall full of awards and the accolades of his co-workers because he still found the time to remain heavily involved in his church as well as coaching Little League baseball and caring for
family members and friends in need. Jerry fought for the underdog. The ones that most would simply ignore. Jerry is survived by son Dan Brazda and daughter in-law Barbie Brazda of Richmond, VA and daughter Jennifer Behrends and son-in-law Bryan Behrends of Beatrice, NE. Father of 3, Grandpa of 6 and Great Grandpa of 7, "Grandpa Jerry" will be missed by countless others (and their dogs) whose lives were so enriched just by knowing him.
