In January of 1972 Gary married Linda Sharon McIntyre. They began their married lives in North Platte, NE when he was hired by Nebraska Machinery Company . He became the Product Support Manager . He worked for NMC for 49 years with a move to Omaha in 1980. Their last move was to Springfield Ne in 1999. Gary supported Sharon’s dream to open a horse boarding and training facility. It was known as Reinbow Dressage Center. Gary’s role was to keep the equipment running, also hours of mowing ,and doing the variety of needs to care for an acreage while continuing to work for NMC. That left Sharon the freedom to focus on horse care , riding and showing.
Their family grew to include three children, Russell Dean now of Elkhorn, Ne, Rachel Ann of Springfield Ne and Ryan Michael of Omaha. Russell and Mandy have 4 children, Bailey, Braydon, Isabelle and Camden. Ryan and Jami have two children Kaleb and Kayleen. His family was his greatest joy.
Through all the years Gary made sure he spent time hunting and fishing with friends and his sons. They have great memories of hunting pheasants, ducks ,turkeys and deer. He especially enjoyed a Canadian fishing trip.
Gary had a unique sense of humor and a straightforward way of sharing what was on his mind. He valued loyalty, hospitality, thoughtfulness toward others and generosity toward those in need.
